Before Your Session

I appreciate your trust in choosing me to photograph your family, and I’ll do everything I can to make the session fun and relaxing for you. In advance of our scheduled session, we’ll discuss some details so you’ll know what to expect. We can meet in person or talk on the phone; basically, I’d like to hear any ideas you have for your session, and offer suggestions for clothing or other items you might want to bring.

My preference is to use studio lighting in my home, but I also use natural light when conditions are favorable. If you prefer on-location sessions, we can meet in your home, a favorite park, or the beach. I service Corona, CA and most surrounding areas.

The Session

Your session will take anywhere from 1-2 hours; we’ll take as much as needed to get the right images. Children sometimes need extra time to warm up to the photographer, and that's ok! I take my time getting to know them and get down on their level to talk to them. And I don’t force children to do anything they don’t want to do; I will not ask them to say “cheese” in our sessions (unless they want to, of course!).

The ideal situation is for children to be well rested, fed, and in good health to ensure the best quality results. However, this doesn’t mean I expect children to “perform” on cue and smile for the camera. We’re capturing the personality of the child at any given moment, and if they’re not in a smiling mood, well, we’ll go with where they are. I allow time for hungry babies to be fed or just held until they feel comfortable. And I will do my best to make you and your family feel at ease, whether you’re in my home or we’re on location.

My interest is in capturing life’s moments for you - first steps, a first birthday, or just a family being together. Whether we’re in my studio or your home, on a beach or at a family celebration, your session will be comfortable and fun. 

Please note:  No other cameras will be allowed during your session; it’s just too much of a distraction.
